My internet was going unusually slow this morning, so I decided to restart. Bad idea. It started doing Windows updates (which I assume is the reason it was lagging), then when it eventually (like an hour later) finished, it said there was an error and one update didn't complete. So again, I made the mistake of retrying. Another hour and a half, then constant updating/restarting for no joke, an additional 2 hours and it was over! It said it was an upgrade (not update) for Windows 10 which worried me a bit (that I was going to lose everything and that I've always had Windows 10 on this laptop so why would I need the same thing) and certainly it took just as long to install, as when I first got it. Anyway, that's why I'm blogging late, because I've stared at a computer screen and jiggled the mouse around all day and couldn't get on with anything! Frustrating, but worse things could happen. Today I thought you might like to see the Irregular Choice 'Forest Fantasy' bag I bought the other week.
I'd had my eye on this before it even came out and was desperate to buy it, the moment it did. I notice it has now sold out online, so I'm glad I got it. It's the same style as my Purfect Pose, which is probably my favourite bag shape from IC, for several reasons. I love a frame bag and this one, although not entirely structured, has gold framing and hinged openings.
My only gripe about the other frame bag (Magic Pony, Lil Lamb, Deery Me etc) they do, is the long strap, I prefer a short handle, so I can carry it in my hand and this has one in the centre. It does also come with a detachable long strap, which I doubt I'll ever use.
Another plus, is it's extremely deceiving in size. It looks quite compact and smart, but when it's opened out, it's incredibly spacious. It's like a picnic basket! Obviously not A4 folder/laptop sized, but as an everyday bag it would hold makeup, purse, phone, Kindle/e-reader/tablet type device, notebook (as in paper!), pens, mp3, sunglasses, hairbrush, the lot! There are front and back compartments, which open separately (with big knobs, which I also love) and both sides are the same size. Inside one is a zipped pocket, the other has a pouch for a mobile phone. The lining is the same purple floral that's inside the shoes this season.
The base has studs to keep it scratch free and clean and a metallic blue base. The main bag is blue crushed velvet with red trim and handle. The same blue metallic fabric, along with pewter also features on the front of the bag.
The front of the bag is just extraordinary, with a large grey rabbit embroidered in the centre. I'm a sucker for woodland creatures, so this season there's a LOT I like, including the soles and boxes with them! There's flowers and acorns embroidered too.
It's just gorgeous, so so beautiful. IC bags have been amazing for a few years now, they were cute anyway, but seemed to go to another level and this is when my collection multiplied! A lot. I should perhaps plan a blog post of all my IC bags, though I think my older ones are in a box under my bed, behind other boxes, so that might be a bit of an escapade. Next week, I thought you'd like a closer look at my Truly Magical shoes that I wore the other week on Shoesday Tuesday, which I bought at the same time as this bag. They are AMAZING together aren't they?
Have you fallen for Irregular Choice bags as well as their shoes, do you like this one?
